What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files and related browser storage technologies that allow a website to recognize a browser, remember preferences, maintain essential functionality, and understand how visitors interact with pages over time. PromptAds uses cookies and similar storage because they help us keep the site functional, remember consent choices, and measure site performance when analytics has been permitted.
Types of Cookies and Storage Used by PromptAds
Strictly necessary cookies support core site behavior such as consent management, basic security, and keeping the site usable. These are always active because the site cannot reliably remember your privacy choices without them.
Analytics cookies are used only when you allow them. PromptAds relies on PostHog-based analytics to understand page views, button clicks, navigation patterns, referrers, browser and device characteristics, JavaScript errors, and Core Web Vitals. This data helps us improve the site and understand which pages and calls to action are working.
Preference cookies store optional interface choices, such as future language or user-experience settings, when you enable that category. PromptAds currently uses browser storage primarily for consent management, but the same category will apply if interface preferences are introduced later.
Marketing cookies are not currently used on PromptAds. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and the consent flow before enabling that processing.
Cookie Consent Banner and Preferences
On your first visit, PromptAds displays a cookie consent banner with the message, “We use cookies to improve your experience and analyze site traffic. See our Cookie Policy.” The banner offers an Accept All action and a Manage Preferences action. If you choose to manage preferences, you can enable or disable analytics, preference, and marketing categories, while strictly necessary storage remains enabled. Your consent choice is stored in localStorage so the site can remember it. If you reject analytics cookies, PromptAds does not initialize analytics tracking.

The table below summarizes the cookies and comparable browser storage keys currently used by PromptAds and its analytics tooling.

How to Manage or Delete Cookies
You can change your PromptAds preferences through the cookie banner and preference modal when it is shown, and you can also manage or delete cookies directly in your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to review stored cookies, clear existing data, block specific categories, or disable cookies entirely. Disabling some cookies may affect how certain site features behave. For a broader description of how PromptAds handles personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
